It would be easy for me to say that I remember the first day of school for all three of my children, because it does not seem that long ago. But, if I try to remember the first day of school for myself...that becomes a tad bit more difficult. I do remember how excited I was and that I did not cry. I remember a couple of the students, but the person I remember the most is my teacher, Mrs. Collins. She had long brown hair and didn't wear any make-up. She was very kind to me and called on me to be a helper. I thought that I was so important.
As we enter our second week of school, I am very aware of what is happening in all of our classrooms. I see the smiles and the hugs, I hear the laughter. Our teachers make every day special for our students. I am sure that you sense the very same thing. I do not take lightly the fact that you have chosen us and have entrusted us with your child. Thank you for choosing La Palma Christian School.
When my children were babies, I would rock them to sleep and sing one special song to them every evening. The song simply said; "You're gonna dream big dreams, accomplish great things. Climb many mountains for God. For you can do anything through Christ who gives you the strength, You're gonna dream big dreams for God." Simple, but true. We are dreaming big dreams at LPCS and are looking forward to each new day with your child.
